“Shree Dnyandeo Siddhabet Tapovan Dnyan-Yoga-Adhyatma Vidyapeeth Pratishthan”, is an organization established by His Holiness Shree Mama Maharaj with the grace of Shree Mauli. This organization has come up with a grand project, ‘ShreeSant Nivruttinath Maharaj Library’, which is a great addition to the glory of Alandi and one of the “best in class” libraries in the rich tradition of Maharashtra.
Most of the time, libraries are known as “book exchange centers”. However, ShreeSant Nivruttinath Maharaj Library is an exception. It is not only a library but also a thriving study center with the goal to preserve rare and ancient texts. The current book collection target is 2.5 lakh books and it will be completed soon.
A large collection of extremely rare bibliographies as well as manuscripts; which is a special feature of this library, is carefully maintained. The library is also implementing an important project, “e-Library”. All rare and important texts will be digitized with the help of excellent scanners and made available to researchers/scholars/students. This is an ongoing activity and more books will regularly get added to the current e-Book collection.
Many organizations, book lovers, readers, eminent scholars made their book collections available for this library. Among them are Sardar Abasaheb Mujumdar, Shree Vaman Ganesh Khajgiwale, Dr. Ahirrao, and Sanskrit scholar Shree Apte. With great confidence and trust, the “Marathi Manuscript Center” has donated about eleven hundred manuscripts/books for preservation. This library is an ever-growing treasure trove for all scholars.
The library and all related projects and initiatives are excelling in all directions under the guidance of P.P. Shree Shireeshdada Kawade, a hardcore literature lover. It is truly a special grace of H.H. ShreeMauli that the library is set up in the land where ShreeMauli was born, and in the name of his beloved Sadguru, H.H. ShreeSant Nivruttinath Maharaj.
Within a few years of its establishment, the library was recognized in a 'B' category by the Government of Maharashtra.
